Avis : Il s'agit du dernier film que Robert Taylor a fait sous la direction de Richard Thorpe. Cette fois-ci les deux hommes tournent non pas pour la MGM mais pour la Columbia. Pourtant, ce film ressemble à deux films tournés à la MGM dans le même genre: Les Mines du roi Salomon 1950 et Mogambo.
Bien qu'oublié, il s'agit d'un solide film d'aventure.
