Avis : Un très bon film, bien qu'il ne soit pas totalement authentique aux faits historiques.
Il s'agit du dernier film avec le duo Errol Flynn - Olivia De Havilland. Et depuis Captain Blood, ces 2 acteurs ont bien évolué à tel point que la dernière scène qu'ils font dans le film est absolument géniale. Un duo qui crève l'écran.
Bien entendu, la réalisation de Raoul Walsh est excellente.
Anthony Quinn joue ici le chef Crazy Horse. Il retrouvera Flynn onze ans après dans un film d'aventures de George Sherman.
Un western assez long pour l'époque (2H21) mais qui ne perd pas de sa fraîcheur.
