Résumé: 1875 : Matt Calder et son fils vivent une paisible vie de fermiers près de la meurtrière "rivière sans retour". Jusqu’au jour où ils sauvent de la noyade Kay, chanteuse de saloon, et son mari Harry. Ce dernier, pressé de rejoindre la ville, assomme Matt, lui volant son cheval, son arme. Et les laisse tous les trois à la merci d’indiens hostiles. Une seule solution pour survivre : traverser la rivière sans retour…
