Résumé: Le chanteur Elly Jordan et ses inséparables compères, Spec et Louie, quittent New York avec une seule idée en tête : réussir à Hollywood. Mais à la suite d'un stupide accident, les trois amis sont abandonnés en rase campagne, dans le Wyoming. Ils sont recueillis par une jolie fermière, Jane Hardy, qui sympathise avec eux et leur propose de se refaire une santé financière en travaillant comme cow-boys dans son ranch. Tous acceptent. Elly a cependant un petit problème : les animaux de la ferme l'effraient et le font fuir...
